Tag: The Eternal State

The Eternal State is the final horizon of biblical prophecy, the “Day of God” (2 Peter 3:12) that follows the Millennial reign of Christ. After the final rebellion is crushed and the old heaven and old earth pass away with a great noise, God will create a New Heaven and a New Earth where righteousness dwells. In this perfect state, time as we know it ceases, death is no more, and the curse of Genesis 3 is forever reversed.

Central to this hope is the New Jerusalem, the Holy City that descends from heaven as a bride adorned for her husband. This city, with its pearly gates and streets of gold, is not a metaphor but the literal dwelling place of the Bride of Christ. This library explores the breathtaking details of our eternal home, the nature of our resurrected bodies, and the solemn reality of the “Second Death” for those whose names are not found in the Book of Life. It answers the questions of what we will do in heaven, how we will relate to one another, and how the glory of God will illuminate the universe forever.

The Book of Life and the Other Books Maintained by God

The concept of the “Book of Life” appears prominently in the Bible, especially in the context of final judgment. This theme is closely related to the doctrine of salvation and eternal destiny. In the final judgment scenes described in Revelation, other books are also mentioned alongside the Book of Life, which are used to judge the deeds of all people.

Let every word and pixel honor the Lord. 1 Corinthians 10:31: "whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God."
